The story
4 years ago, daizies owner, Kim Miller, was forced to take a year off from her busy corporate job in Toronto. Crazy schedules, long hours, stressful demands and fast food "dashboard dining" had left her body wasted and unable to support itself. She was diagnosed with complete adrenal exhaustion, iron deficiency anemia and had lost all interest in life. She slept for 3 solid months and when she woke up, she knew she needed to make some profound changes in her life. Moving to the Northumberland Hills had been the first important step but what lay ahead was unclear...the one thing she did know was that it started with small steps. If she didn't take care of her body, where was she going to live? And she had a lot of living to do.
And so her journey and passion began. She learned through exercise, a devotion to yoga and by making simple, informed and healthy food choices, her body could restore itself.
Now she is passionate about cooking, delighting friends and family with delicious meals that not only taste great but also have mind and body benefits. She has returned to work with a new perspective on the importance of balance. She built the menu and the concept for daizies to share that passion with the community
